"Parisian Nights" on October 8 - a ballet with which we celebrate life!
On October 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Opera House, come to "Parisian Nights" - a ballet with which we celebrate life! "Parisian Nights" is set to music by Carl Maria von Weber, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Jacques Offenbach. The libretto, choreography and staging are by the world-renowned Bulgarian choreographer Donvena Pandurski. The author of the impressive scenography and exquisite costumes is the remarkable artist Pavel Shappo.
In this performance, three great composers meet, presenting different creative styles, which, like contrasting colors, are arranged on one palette. Weber, Rachmaninov, Offenbach. Each one of them is present with their music, choreographed in the form of a nocturnal fantasy in Paris, be it dreamed, dreamed or actually experienced in four different phases of a human life. Thus, the four parts of the ballet are both independent and interconnected. The First Night represents the Young Maiden's dream in its four states. The second night is as wonderful as it is a nightmarish dream of the Grown Girl, on the verge of becoming a woman. The Third Night - "The Strange" depicts the desires and anxieties of the Young Woman. The final night - "Parisian Revelry" with music by Jacques Offenbach - will introduce us to the euphoria of the Parisian nightlife, where the Mature Woman tries to put her fears of aging to sleep. Four Parisian nights, in which the soloists and corps de ballet of the State Opera-Stara Zagora will shine with the artistic director prima ballerina Silvia Tomova.
On October 2 this year, "Parisian Nights" triumphed on the stage of the "Stefan Makedonski" State Music Theater in the capital. After the stunning performance, a special plaque of honor for the State Opera - Stara Zagora on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first non-capital opera was presented on stage by the director of the "Sofia Music Weeks" MF, Prof. Momchil Georgiev, to the director of the Stara Zagora Opera, Vladimir Boshnakov - with gratitude for the "many years" of cooperation!
And prima ballerina Anelia Dimitrova shared exciting words after the performance in the capital: "What an evening!? I traveled two human lives in just a few tens of minutes. I must admit, it was difficult! To dance two such different heroines. In one night I had to experience burning love, jealousy, rage, to sink into a pain so cruel that I lose meaning in life... And in just minutes to celebrate happiness and the gift - life, with all its colors and memories of days gone by. To show the audience and myself that everything is transitory in this life. And no matter what, we have to plow through it with fists full, live NOW. Because "yesterday will not come back, tomorrow may not come". Thank you to the choreographer Donvena Pandurski, for the opportunity to touch this universe of emotions!
Come on October 8 at 7 pm at the Opera House!
