Simona Kodeva

The Sopranos

Born in. Born in Burgas. Graduated from the G.S. Rakovski High School for Romance Languages with Italian language in her hometown. In 2004 she graduated as a Master (specialty-classical singing) at the NMA "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in the class of Prof. Blagovesta Karnobatlova-Dobreva. In 2003 she specialized in the Prague-Vienna-Budapest Summer International Academy under Prof. Nadezhda Kniplova.

2002 - Academic Competition "Parashkev Hadzhiev" (3rd prize) - Sofia; 2004 - Academic Competition "Lyubomir Pipkov" (2nd prize) - Sofia. 2005 -International Competition for Young Opera Singers "Puldin" (Audience Award)- Sofia. Plovdiv; 2006 -National Competition "Hristo Brumbarov" (prize for Bulgarian song)- Sofia; 2008 -International Competition for German and Austrian Music (1st prize)- Burgas; 2009 - 2nd National Competition for Young Opera Singers "Gena Dimitrova" (special prize for modern aria)- Burgas. Pleven.

Scholarship holder of the Raina Kabaivanska Foundation. She has participated in the master classes of Hristina Angelakova (2007), Elena Filipova (2011,2012) and Veselina Katsarova (2019).

In June 2006 she made her debut on the stage of the Sofia National Opera in the role of the Queen of the Night from the opera The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart. She has performed with the majority of symphony orchestras and in all opera houses in Bulgaria. She has appeared in productions and concerts in Germany,
France, England, the Netherlands, Switzerland, South Korea, etc.
